Ross What is the best time a day to trade? if You' asked me this question three years ago, I would have given you a different answer than I'll give you today. Three years ago I Would have said the best time a day to trade is starting at 9:30 at the opening bell and then trading for about an hour. So 9:30 to 10:30 trading the open. That's the best time a day to trade.
Don't worry about the afternoon, don't overstate your welcome. Get green, get out. And then the pandemic happened. Co and Traders started getting up a little earlier and the window got bigger.
So really, at this point anytime after 7 the windows open. But it really picks up for me after 8 a.m. So from 8:00 a.m. until about 10:30 the window now it's a little bit bigger.
but for me that's where I make the most money. Afternoon trading. Well, that's not where it's at Power Hour trading. No, that doesn't really work for me.
I Trade at the open stocks generally that have news and are squeezing from that catalyst.

Hi Ross, unfortunately i am trading from overseas and due to work schedule i miss the morning hours. My trading starts at 2pm EST best 1pm and i am not happy with the results i am getting. I used to trade in the morning hours during the pandemic and i was doing fine but now i cant..Any advise on how i could take advantage of morning trading when i am not infront of my computer..? Really need your advice here!

@DaytradeWarrior , Ross, if a stock goes up by 200% because of CATALYST. But it has a high FLOAT. And you have RVOL above 5 how do you treat it?
What time zone are you in for those of us that are brand new?
I personally like to see market settle let it develop start looking to take after 7AM

So true. Couldn't agree more
Still within my first year of trading, learning/getting comfortable and I've noticed from 8-9 you'll get a pop. I have no point of reference how it was in the past but presently at opening a nice hard crash, rarely squeezes up at open unless there was a massive short squeeze premarket and select brokers are covering at open that only allow regular trading hours, but how often does that happen? Then make your (downward) trendlines and take a trade breaking the trendline or reclaiming VWAP for a ride back up.
