And then that day you have a big loss and you log in and you're like my account's only at 4500. Yesterday I was at Seven Grand You just feel the sense of loss and of course you know you had the loss. but when you log in and you see that number there, it just amplifies it. And then for me I'm always chasing to get back to that 7 500 And that's not trading the market, that's trading your P L that's trading a number.
That's something totally independent from what's happening in the market. Now the market. May Give you opportunities to get right back to seven or it may end up that you took a loss at the beginning of what is going to be a cold streak and you're just gonna have to be patient and if you try to force it, you're just going to lose more money.
Trade the market, don't trade your P&L, love it
If you have a exit strategy BEFORE you open a position you don't feel that bad because you know your safety net works.
200MA resistance, bagholder, darvas box etc.
Don't trade without a plan and look for signs of a weakening trend (decreasing volume etc)
