Ok thanks.
Hi Ross! Please tell me how much money you need to earn to cover the commission, platform, market date, TI, etc.
Thanks!
Hi Ross, random question….can you suggest a laptop that you prefer to use?
Hello Ross, CGIX Tanked shortly after you finished the recap.
Nice job Ross! I was waiting for a good entry on CGIX, and then FOMO got to me and jump in on impulse on a not so great setup. Hot-keyed in, got filled high, it dropped and i held to long (lost 65c before bailing). How do you convince yourself to bail out fast and not hold Ross? I keep having small winners and big looser.
Thank you for posting these videos. I am a subscriber and a fan as I find your videos more informative than most, all than the ones I know of anyway. Also: Thank you for turning me on to Lightspeed. I am studying it and it looks good. But TOS is free and I already have it.
Awesome Ross the class was nice today have fun traveling
Enjoy following you and learning from you. These videos are amazing.
That was interesting to see you do a live trade and hear your thought process thanks for sharing that! Would love to see you do more of these live trades. Question do you mainly trade 10 sec charts at the open now as compared to the 1 min
Dude, I’m sorry but your first entry on CGIX was not an “A quality” setup. It was a horrible setup. The pattern setting up was a selling pattern. If you would have had patience and got in one penny over the inside bar hammer candle, you’d be sitting even more pretty on gains. “Buy high and sell higher” doesn’t always work. Patience pays sometimes my man.
Hi Ross: looking at your trades currently I see that you seem to be taking much smaller wins (3-8c) and getting in and out with full size (e.g. if your trading 2k shares you buy and sell 2k, and not scale in/out of positions like you do when you're trading with full size). Is this part of the small account preparation, or is this how you think that you should trade stocks if you are using smaller size positions? I am one of your pro students trying to build a buffer, and so typically take 500-1k share positions. In the sim I found that I could be pretty accurate doing what you're doing, but my win/loss ratio suffered as I tended to sell the full position too soon, and hold the losers a little too long. (e.g. If I sell the whole position for a 3-8c profit, by set my stops around 10-12c then when I stop out I lose more than when I win – it's a bad ratio). What are you thoughts? Should smaller entries just go for the small wins / higher accuracy – or is holding a portion for a bigger win a better plan long term?
Hi Ross! Great vid, as always. I have often heard you say that we should always follow the rules of our strategy, and that that is what pays off in the long run. That's why yesterday, when I saw MYOV pop up on my scanner, I didn't even look at it because I saw it's high float. I now see that you were able to cash in big time on this stock. What's funny is that you often make money on these higher float stocks that you are not supposed to trade based on the strategy. Is there a time that it makes sense to break the rules? If so, when would that be? Should I continue to strictly follow the strategy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I thought you don't trade stocks that have FU in the symbol. What changed your mind?
$145 on $CGIX, with a $3800 account
Is it correct that setting a limit and stop limits in thinkorswim is not a set it and forget it guaranteed exit? Down 20 bucks paper for the day learning the platform.
Thanks Ross for that live trade even tho it didn’t go your way, still appreciate that value that you gave through that live trade. Keep up the great work you are doing.
When forming your entry and exit points every trade, where do you usually set your stop? the low of the previous candle? Having trouble here setting my stop out points while trying to minimizing my risk.
As painful as it may have been for you to lose that money on $CGIX, I'm so satisfied (sorry) I got to see that. Probably the best video I have seen yet. I learned so much from your losing experience! It made me feel more empowered. Thanks for that! I think you should do a mini series solely on different types of losing trades next! I know the goal is to earn but we need to understand why losers happen as well.
Breakouts in this market only work 30% of the time. That's something I stopped doing and has helped.
I'm confused. I thought your mental checklist included only trading stocks that have news/catalyst? I'm glad you made money, but it seems like you are not following the rules you profess. What am I missing?
I was watching you trade those stocks live this morning! I decided not to trade anything; way too choppy for me today.
Bought cgix 1000 share at 4.36 then another 100 at 4.66 sold 1000@6.01 and 100@5.7 made$1777 first real winner in fake account while learning thanks Ross
Craziest day today. Made 16k in a stock contest.
Should've been closer to 30k but they filled me at $6.21 on KZIA when I shorted at $8.00. (SSR maybe?)
Kinda annoyed cause that would've put me at rank 1 out of 358 players.
Hey Ross, do you have anyways that you exercise discipline outside of trading. I feel like this is a weakness within my trading and was wondering if you had any advice how to work the discipline muscle in trading and outside of trading?
$CGIX got in $4.50 out at $5.00 wish I held a bit longer but I’ll take my profit anyway!
Question about east coast trading (like you) vs. west coast trading (me). I get up routinely at 8AM and don't feel like being up at 615 AM to research/trade at open. Is there another time that would be routinely profitable to day trade other than open? Thanks.
I was in the Red today on CGIX that sucks
I would have thought you made a ton more $$$ on CGIX Ross!… I mean – Right after you took that loss (and ended the video), it DID shoot up to $7++…Argh$&**&@@!*… It's the only stock I traded today. I nailed the 1st bottom dip at $4.17 (around 9;40 am est), and stayed with it all day (till 3pm)… 15 trades in and out for Big $$$ profit! (don't even want to say how much – it's ridiculous!)… 🤑 …"nuff said"… 🤑
Sweet trades. I made over $2000 on CGIX today, I posted a video about it on my channel.
Great video thanks for letting us watch you make a live trade.
Congrats! Thank you!
