Etrade Pro trades at market are instantaneous for me. Is it the fill size maybe they have issue with? Anything 100-500 shares I've never had issues with.

Humans will always suck at execution speed, that’s where trading algorithms win every single time.
ETrade has hot keys now?
What platform are you using on Etrade?
For a truly professional set up go with a Bloomberg Terminal or Eikon
I heard Fidelity has decent execution speed along with TD, so right now I’m up to 2 free brokers with at least decent speed. Schwab and IB have slow execution speeds and Etrade is said to be slow along with laggy data feed. Still might try them all though lol
You should also look into Fidelity. Only zero commission broker that doesnt sell order flow and have direct access. It has the best order execution
All I do anymore is set and watch the scanner and the time watching the waves on the scanner
Looks like you can make money on quick moves with a set price to sell and buy in its like riding the waves
Ross, I wish you would do the same with trade zero, their smart routing is diabolical and a poor review maybe is a catalyst for them to improve.

How do I get there Ross.
well it seems people would use a buy in account and a sell account.
on two deferent device's to speed the trading faster.
Ross have you ever buy or sell stock on deferent accounts.
Example to speed the stock market up would have to use 2 accounts on the same stock.
a buy in and a sell account at the same time this will help you to speed up your own trade.
If it's already set up to buy or sell.
Ross are you using eTrade Pro platform?
U can also use speed keys/ hot keys for etrade power too. U just have less options as etrade pro. Go to settings top right and enable speeds keys. Ur welcome, becareful everyone
Ross I wasn't able to watch the training course I try to log in but I get 3 seconds error.
Don't have a clue why I can log in.
Hey Ross or anyone reading. In order to setup hot keys for etrade pro. U have to open a order entry ticket and then right click on that box and enable speedy key. Then manually set ur buttons to what u want them to be…. hope this helps
Does eTrade allow you to use Hot Keys?

Hey Ross! Thanks for doing this comparison… This will be super helpful… I currently trade with a direct access broker but the zero commission by the retail firms are obviously super intriguing… Can't wait to see your feedback on executions moving forward… Thanks again big Ross!
I think that this free trading does change the game and i like Lightspeed but i get the same amount of money on TD Ameritrade and its now free so yeah got to go with zero commission for me
Tips For Ross
1. “Use flexible grid tab” for 5min 1min Daily and news and linking charts is next to ticker name or search bar
2. “Use chart tab” for atleast 6 stocks
to watch 3 charts on top and bottom
3. You have trade ideas so you dont need the scan tab provided with TDA
4. You have Hot Keys that are limited , active trader, and buttons to go long but truth be told they will have you swearing 🤬 lol…i have no advice in this area you’ll just have to toy with it
5. The Bot and Sold messages tab detaches you will want to see that at all times or you can add it in the Big side bar window that you can hide the options to
Add are at the bottom its a plus “+” sign symbol
6. To save workspace top right corner in “setup” Tab

Hey Ross, would you say that Etrade is as fast as your simulator or would it be slower?
I have E trade,TD Ameritrade and Suretrader i use Suretrader to go long and i use TD Ameritrade for charts and i havent had any issues except for the week long break with Suretrader and stock restrictions but other than that im all smiles over here i like suretrader execution speed as well and ill stick with this setup until im qualified for lightspeed
Do any overseas brokers (no pdt rule) have $0 comissions?

Use Marker Order on light-speed also.I say do 3-5 times each on the platforms and see where the execution is to where u hit the buy button. E-trade already +.14. Not good. If u use limit its way better. Set it up just like u do lightspeed. Order entry. move price up 5-10 cents and when ur ready smash the buy button! I mean smash that shit. 🙂 I change destination to ARCA and you can save that. Isn't that direct access?
ThinkorSwim definitely doesn’t have the speed of light speed. When I traded OPGN a few weeks ago I was stuck staring at my screen for a solid 30 seconds waiting for my order to fill and instead of having a $800 dollar day it was a $300 dollar one. Unfortunatly got in too late and had to bail earlier than what I would have normally did because of the fear of getting stuck while the stock is dropping.
